Veterinary Technician
Spay Neuter Clinic – Chandler, AZ


Seeking a Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant with clinical veterinary experience to fill an open full time position at busy veterinary wellness clinic. We will interview candidates who have completed a Vet Tech program and externship or who have prior experience in a Veterinary setting.

Work Monday through Friday days. No weekends, no emergencies.

  • Assist doctor with exams, vaccinations, and surgery monitoring
  • Care for animals post-op
  • Maintain patient records, help with phones as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to safely restrain cats and dogs for exams and lift 30+ pounds.
  • Knowledge of vaccine protocol
  • Experience with blood draws and catheter placement is necessary

Experienced Veterinary Technician

Seeking a Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant with clinical veterinary experience to fill an open full time position at a busy veterinary wellness clinic in North Phoenix. We will only contact and interview candidates who have completed a Vet Tech program and externship, or who have at least one year prior experience in a Veterinary clinic or hospital.

Veterinary Technician (Surgical Recovery and Patient Check-Outs)
Spay Neuter Clinic – Mesa, AZ


JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a FULL-TIME position, Monday thru Friday from 11:00 am to 6:45 p.m. This position entails NO weekends, NO nights, NO emergencies, NO HOLIDAYS and NO on-call status so you can have a life outside your job. This position is also eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, vacation/holiday pay, personal pet discounts and monthly profit-sharing (i.e. bonuses).

POSITION DETAILS:

1.Surgery Recovery:

  • Provide the highest quality of technical skills and patient care after surgery (Patient care is our number # 1 priority)
  • Surgical recovery entails recovering animals from post-op surgery, (including extubation, monitoring TPR’s, CRT’s, mucous membrane color, speed of anesthesia recovery, fluid therapy and etc).
  • Ability to administer SQ, IV and IM medications or other medications as directed by the doctor(s) on staff.
  • Ability to maintain patient and clinic medical records with a high level of competency/completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure strict sterilization procedures are met (cleaning and making surgical packs, autoclaving surgical instruments, making sure there are enough equipment/packs available for the next day’s procedures).
  • Superb client service skills (i.e. answering phones: scheduling/confirming appointments, addressing client questions/concerns) as a secondary backup to the receptionist staff.
  • Ensure proper animal restraining and safety techniques are being used to protect the patient, the client, the techs and the doctor(s) on staff.
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs. This position can be physically demanding when restraining animals and/or trying to place an animal in/out of a kennel upon anesthetic recovery and/or check-outs.
  1. Patient Check-Outs:
  • Candidate must be able to also address/answer any client questions/concerns, review pricing/estimate forms, pick up times and late charges with clients at check-outs.
  • Must be able to provide EXCELLENT patient/client care and communication skills in person as well as over the phone.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high volume environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to complete Daily Ledgers/Bookkeeping records, finalize charges with client and collection of payment at the end of the day without error.
  • Daily closing duties: Vacuuming/mopping floors, cleaning kennels/clinic in preparation for the next day’s shifts.
